Risks

Swapping on-chain has risks Charon can reduce but not remove.

  • Router and pool contracts. Your swap runs through contracts written by the aggregators and DEXs, not by Charon. A bug in one of them could lose funds that pass through it.
  • Price movement. Prices can move between quote and execution. Slippage limits how much less you accept; a swap that would breach it fails, and the network fee may still be spent.
  • Tokens. Unverified tokens can be copies, charge transfer taxes, or be impossible to sell. Charon warns you but cannot vet every token.
  • Gas spikes. HyperEVM gas can rise a hundredfold in busy periods, making small swaps expensive.
  • Quotes from third parties. Aggregator quotes come from their APIs. Charon simulates every swap before you sign, but cannot see inside their pricing.
  • New networks. Elysium is new and runs with a single sequencer at first. Withdrawals back to HyperEVM are not confirmed yet.

Charon is independent software, not affiliated with Hyperliquid, Kinetiq or any DEX it routes through. Nothing here is financial advice.
