Small blocks and big blocks
HyperEVM makes a small block every second (3 million gas) and a big block every minute (30 million gas). A swap usually uses 150,000 to 600,000 gas, so it lands in a small block within seconds.
Gas spikes
Gas on HyperEVM is usually a fraction of a gwei, but busy periods push it far higher. When gas is High, a small swap can cost more in gas than it is worth; waiting or swapping a larger amount at once costs less per dollar.
